The fisherman's catch includes fish that are whole and unprocessed. Most of the catch will be gutted and scaled for you. Some fish, like herring will come not scaled.
In order to keep supporting our small scale fishers, we commit to buying whatever they catch which is the most sustainable and seasonal way to eat fish and seafood from our waters. This means that we cant tell you in advance exactly what the species will be, but can guarantee that it will be delicious! Typical examples include: cod(rarely), cuttlefish, dab, flounder, grey mullet, gurnard, haddock, hake, herring, horse mackerel, mackerel, monkfish, huss, john dory, lemon sole, plaice, pollack, pouting, ray wing, trout, whiting & wrasse.
Occasionally, when our fisherman catch very large fish, we may give you a tail or a saddle depending on the size you ordered. In that case if you order 1.5kg we will give you 1.3kg since there is no head and very little bone.
A limited selection of smoked fish (mackerel, kippers, haddock) or shellfish (oysters, mussels, crab) may be included in this share. If you would prefer not to receive shellfish or smoked fish, you can select a ‘no-shellfish’ or 'no-smoked' fish share when signing up.

Your share will be bagged and wrapped in parchment. Our fish will keep happily in the fridge for 3 days and is suitable for freezing.
Share sizes: with a selection of fresh catch, shellfish and smoked fish unless you opted out
1kg twice a month = 3-4 portions twice a month
1.5kg twice a month = 5-6 portions twice a month
2kg twice a month = 6-8 portions twice a month
Collection dates March - June 2025 (Wednesday or Thursday depending on the collection Hub)
First week of the month: 5th & 6th March / 2nd & 3rd April / 7th & 8th May / 4th & 5th June
Third week of the month: 19th & 20th March / 16th & 17th April / 21st & 22nd May / 18th & 19th June
